| i hate having to get up right when your comfortable cuz then you have to do it all over again and you can never get right back to that sweet spot just exactly the same.
yesterday i was driving back from getting a few groceries and i had been sitting in the left lane forever. im thinking the guy who was in front wasnt on the sensor right cuz cars were going by forever. the thing about it was that it was a 2 lane road so there was just enough room for people to start turning right when they didnt want to wait any longer (and alot of people did). i was starting to get frustrated, but the irony in that the guy who had been waiting at the front of the line for seemingly 5 minutes or so turned right about 5 seconds before we finally got the green arrow.
just to clarify im not laughing at the guy, i mean we all can only take so much. its more of the fact that he could have waited a moment more and not had to go out of his way at all. 5 minutes and then BAM! hmmm... i thought about being philisophical with this one, but i might let you figure out the moral to the story...
any takers? | | |
| i guess its been a long time. although i cant say too too much has happened out of the ordinary. i did have a pretty good birthday weekend (you know who you are). i also think i could sleep into next week if i had the chance. last night i went to see my friend frank play an open mic night, which was really good. on the way there i saw this aerostar van with signs saying: DIVORCE, QUICK, CHEAP reading on the side of it parked at the edge of a gas station parkinglot. one of the more random things ive seen lately i think. ive also become a fan of frisbee golf lately so if anyone out there in nac wants to go play sometime i might be able to work something out.
its nice to get out of nac every once in a while.
i just remembered that rachel and i went to austin a few weeks ago to see my brothers bands last show. it was pretty good, probably one of the best ever. it was also fun to see more of austin. beautiful city.
ive also come to terms with getting more practical gifts for my birthday as i get older. frisbees and car maintenance... so maybe the frisbees arent the most practical... but i still like to think so.
| lazy sunday. it ended up to be not so bad though, after locking my keys in my car last night at midnight when i was tired and my brain was just about turned off. i smelled something kinda sweet in the back seat (im now pretty sure it was the chex mix) and i was walking around to the other side of the car and just happened to shut the door and it wasnt till i was on the other side that it hit me that not only were my keys not in my hand or pockets, the spare was in houston. thankfully we were able to hunt someone down who was coming back up here from h-town so all is not lost.
i hate it when you feel like youve been bored and limited all day, but its only been one day so i cant complain. i just wish ihad my disks this afternoon to go play some frisby cuz it was so pretty out. hopefully tomorrow will be just as good so i can make up for the lost time.
i think i may have these chex eaten by the end of the day... only fitting a demise for what could have caused this whole thing... mmmm
| As far as I can understand, this is the epidimizing question of living a Christian lifestyle:
Do we, as Christians, create a sterile Christian environment where we can actively participate in everything that we believe Christianity should be, OR do we allow ourselves to be a light to the darkness, all the while knowing that we are flawed and an imperfect witness to those around us?
for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified as a gift by His grace through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus. Romans 3:23-24 (NASB)
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28 (NASB)
| so, i had a thought. would it be contradictory for anyone who is against government surveylance, and the whole infringing on our freedoms thing, to prefer to use xanga lock so that they can know who looks at their site? i mean, its kinda insignificant, but at the same time it seems like a bit of irony to me.
